Exciting News for Sydney Metro Commuters! 🎉
We're thrilled to announce that Transport for NSW has been hard at work upgrading the car parks at several Sydney Metro stations to convenient Park and Ride facilities. We're pleased to inform you that the upgrade works are now complete at Tallawong, Kellyville, and Bella Vista stations, and you can now check real-time occupancy information using the PARKnRIDE app.
The remaining stations, Cherrybrook and Hills Showground, will soon undergo similar upgrades. These improvements are expected to be rolled out in the coming few weeks.
We would like to thank you for your patience and support as we strive to enhance your commuting experience with Sydney Metro. Your convenience is our priority, and we're excited to bring you these update.
To stay informed about the progress of the upgrade works and receive updates regarding the availability of the Park&Ride car parks, commuters are encouraged to visit our website or the TfNSW website.
For the remaining stations, commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, considering the temporary unavailability of real-time occupancy data. we recommend allowing extra time for parking or exploring alternative transport options, such as using public transportation to access the Metro stations.
What does this upgrade mean to me?
With this upgrade, car park users will have to use their opal or debit/credit card to access/exit the car park. The same payment method should be used for the public transport trip. If you are using a debit/credit card it has to be registered in Transport Connect account. Click here to register.
Will the parking remain free?
Parking will continue to be free when you complete a valid public transport trip with the same payment method (Opal card or connected credit/debit card), once you’ve linked your card to Transport Connect account. Free parking is only valid for up to 18 hours. This also applies to integrated event ticket holders. After 18 hours, parking rates will apply in 24 hour increments. If you are not using public transport or you have exceeded the 18 hour free parking window, you will be charged:
$30 weekday flat rate
$10 weekend and public holiday flat rate
Standard rates will apply from the time of entry in 24 hour increments.
